About

Company Director: Heather Millward…

Heather trained as a professional dancer in London before performing in the West End, on National Tours, in pop videos and commercials, during which time she also taught on a freelance basis at schools in London.

When her career as a dancer came to an end she was fortunate enough to find herself another exciting challenge in the world of television. For ten years she worked as a producer on programmes for MTV, BBC, ITV and SKY. She relocated to Bournemouth in 2005 and began teaching at local dance schools and continued to freelance in the television industry until her children arrived!

The creation of Curtain Call came after sitting through too many badly shot and edited DVDS of her own children in dance shows and deciding that instead of moaning about it she could do something to change it.

Having been involved behind the scenes, she understands the hard work that goes into putting a show together and knows it’s really important to have a DVD that not only shows off the choreography, children, costumes and set design to it’s best – but is also professionally filmed, edited and packaged so that you really do have a memory to treasure.

With Heathers passion for dance and her understanding of choreography and musicality you really do get a visually appealing DVD that is expertly edited with a producers eye and parents and children will watch it over and over again!

Give us a call and let us show you the Curtain Call Way.

Technical Director: Daniel Millward

Heading up the technical side of the company is Dan Millward. He has been working in the television industry for over 30 years.

He draws on a vast experience from managing many live broadcasts – from light entertainment to Sporting World Cup finals – in all major arenas worldwide. Dan initially trained and worked as a technical engineer before going on to Production Manage live sporting events for clients such as BT Sport, SKY TV and broadcasts for BBC TV’s Question Time. He is also proficient in Health and Safety regulations.

Julie Dolbear

Julie is a new addition to our team this year and we are thrilled to have her onboard. Julie had a successful career as a performer in professional musical theatre, dance and television for over ten years, during this time she set up a children’s theatre school in North London and still loves nurturing young talent and watching her students progress and even become professional performers themselves. Julie has always had a keen interest in photography and trained to become a professional headshot photographer specialising in actors and children and this has progressed into filming live events with curtain call productions; with her knowledge of theatre and how choreography works this helps her capture the right moments.

Camera Operator: Josh Stevenson

Josh has completed a three year TV degree at Bournemouth University and has been filming for us for 2 years now. Having been involved in musical theatre productions as a teen he is a great asset to Curtain Call.
